 In accordance with New York State Law, licensed Armed Security Guards have the authority to "open carry." However, at Security CNY, we recognize that not all clients, customers, and staff desire an overt security presence reminiscent of a fortress. 

Our highly trained Armed Security Guards are adept at "conceal carry" techniques, seamlessly blending into the environment as ordinary civilians when necessary, thereby ensuring a discreet and unobtrusive security presence tailored to your specific needs. 

Yes, all of our security guards are licensed and trained professionals. They undergo extensive background checks and training to ensure they are qualified to provide top-quality security services. At a bare minimum our security officers possess the following qualifications: 8 Hour Pre-Assignment, 16 Hour On-The-Job Training (OJT), and 8 Hour Annual In-Service Refresher. 

Armed Security Officers possess additional training as required by NYS Law which is: 47-Hour Firearms Training Course & 8 Hour Annual Firearms Refresher.

Many of our officers possess additional qualifications such as CPR-First Aid, Conflict Resolution, Management, Leadership Skills, Customer Service Skills, and above all - experience in the field.

At Security CNY, we cater to the diverse needs of our clients, offering options such as adjusting uniforms to match the client's attire or providing a professional "suit and tie" appearance. Additionally, we are equipped to utilize the client's uniforms when necessary, ensuring seamless integration with their existing security protocols.

CNY stands for "Central New York" which is the region that we typically operate in. We are capable of operating outside of the region depending on client needs! We highly recommend that you contact us for any events or security requirements outside of the region.

Our armed security guards undergo rigorous training and possess extensive experience to effectively handle security threats, utilizing firearms as necessary in accordance with New York State regulations.

Conversely, our unarmed security officers are equally proficient in security protocols and procedures, performing their duties with precision and professionalism. While they may not carry firearms, they are trained to handle a wide range of security situations with skill and competence.
